About RentWent
RentWent is an online marketplace that provides personal spaces for renting on short-term basis or a few days only. The app serves the renting purpose, especially for travelers or tourists who are on vacation. The guests can easily search for suitable luxury to traditional rental spaces to spend their resting or leisure time in different surroundings.
RentWent also facilitates the property owner to easily list their house with the required details and become a registered business owner. The app also allows guests and hosts to chat with each other and exchange the best info for a smooth check-in.

The Need
While traveling or after having a hectic day out at a conference or trekking, we all expect to have a laidback experience with a homely feel. In the wake of this need, our client planned to build a marketplace app for lodging and vacation rentals that serves hospitality for travellers around. So that when a traveller is out for leisure or business purpose, he/she should get the warmth and the feeling of being welcomed at home despite having the cultural differences.
On the other hand, the platform also allows hosts to register their place for renting, where travelers can find the most suitable and budget-friendly homestay for a day or more.
Client Goals
To develop an Online Rental Marketplace for travelers who can easily find living space in a local home at an affordable price. RentWent came with the following features to fulfil the home renting goal;

High Fidelity Prototypes
As we got approval on the wireframes prepared by UX experts, our UI designers took the front role in designing the high-fidelity prototypes. They designed a highly-interactive and appealing design with suitable color combinations, subtle animations, and micro-interactions that ease the project's understanding and user flow. The UI designing team very efficiently presented the client’s requirements and project specifics without hampering the aesthetics of the high-fidelity prototype.
Development
Our development team started the project development phase based on the finalized high-fidelity prototype of the app. The developers build the app version for all three stakeholders: Guests/Travelers, Hosts/Landlords, and Admin Panel. They integrated the following features in each stakeholder’s app:
Quick Onboarding
Guests can quickly log in and sign up to the app through an email id or phone number and password.
Search Property
Guests can quickly search the relevant property based on location, rating, price, availability, etc.
Property Details
Guests can view the chosen property details like prices, images, services, reviews, contact details, etc.
Book Property
Guests can quickly book any of the listed properties based on their preferences.
Manage Booking
Guests can cancel or reschedule their booking as per the policies mentioned by the property holder.
Reservation History
Guests can view the previous and upcoming reservations list along with details.
Create Wish List
Guests can mark properties on the wish list to access them quickly for future visits or easy access.
Rate and Review
Guests can submit their reviews and feedback to the host based on their experience.
In-app Messaging
Guests can communicate with the host through a chat facility.
Sign Up/LogIn
Hosts can easily create an account, log in with an email id/phone number and password.
Manage Profile
Host can manage their property details and add a new property.
View Reservation
The host can keep track of ongoing, previous, and upcoming reservations with details.
Manage Payment
Hosts can manage their payments received from the traveler with details.
Special Offers & Discounts
Hosts can update occasional discounts and offers on their property.
Set Status
Hosts can update their property status as Active/Inactive.
Sign Up/LogIn
Admin can quickly log in with an email id and password.
Traveler Management
Admin can keep track of guest’s booking, details, payments, etc.
Landlord Management
Admin can manage all the registered properties and owners’ details and their bookings.
Verify Properties
Admin can verify the property details submitted for listing, and approve or reject it.
Booking Management
Admin can individually check all the bookings, their details, and payment status as well.
Payment Setup
Admin can track all the payments made by the guests and hosts for services.
