About Emoski

Emoski is a mental health assistance mobile application that helps to reduce the symptoms of mental instability, such as anxiety, depression, etc. The app uses a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) best practices, meditation and mindfulness to improve overall mental health and wellness of teenagers. The app also helps in uplifting the mood of its users by enabling them to interact with the therapist in real-time. It also tracks the progress of the patient/user.

Identify the Client Needs

In this semi-automated world, humans are losing touch with each other, which is driving them towards isolation and ultimately affecting their mental stability. According to a WHO report, 1 in every 8 people around the world is living with the most common disorder, like anxiety and depression. .

To deal with such a globally prevailing issue, team Emoski planned to build a handy and instantly available mental health assistant for people to deal with any mental issue. The app was designed to extend convenience with mood-lifting activities at the user’s fingertips.

Client Goals

After figuring out this serious yet sensitive issue, they knew it requires some actions and a firm solution to reduce the stress that is negatively affecting the mental health. Therefore, to rule out anxiety, depression, and other mental illnesses, our client presented a well-conditioned and nurturing solution Emoski. The app is equipped with the following key functionalities to fulfill its agenda perfectly.

Technologies Leveraged

High Fidelity Prototype

After getting the client's approval on the lo-fi wireframe, our UI designing team started working on building the high-fidelity prototype. The high-fidelity prototype is equipped with smooth user flow, interactive design, typography, color combinations, transitions, micro-interactions, along with a number of features and functionalities.

Development

Based on the high-fidelity prototype, the development team started working on the coding part of the application for both the stakeholders i.e. Patient Interface and CSI Interface. The developer’s incorporated varied features and functionalities that are listed below.

Sign Up/Log In

The patient can sign up/log in with an email id and password.

Manage Profile

Patients can update profile details and specifics about their lifestyle.

Find Therapist

Patients can search for therapists based on their specialty or by name as well.

Perform Activities

Patients can perform or access available activities to lighten their mood and fight mental disturbance.

Subscribe Package

For any time assistance, the patient can subscribe to any of the available packages at their convenience.

In-App Chat

The patient can directly chat with the CSI member through text messages.

Project Outcomes: Evaluating the Impact

Emoski is getting a good response from users and is been accepted among a wider pool of audiences who are dealing with anxiety attacks and mental stress.
The users are highly satisfied as they are getting much-needed psychological assistance for what they don’t feel like discussing with any other person. The activities with positive psychology techniques and CBT interventions are helping patients cope with stress and achieve mindfulness. Having a reliable and trustable platform is infusing a sense of confidence among its users and patients.
